Mullins House

Past Student Placement.....

From the moment I walked through the doors at Mullins House, I instantly felt welcomed. Their home is like none other, they make it as homey and comfortable as absolutely possible. From their home cooked meals, to the staffs parenting guidance, and the brotherly/sisterly feel of the residents; the bonds are truly understanding, sensitive, warm, and loving. They make experiences for the residents worth waiting for and worth working towards, such as outings, movie nights, and camping adventures…experiences that every child deserves and should have the chance to experience in a lifetime. The staff is fun, humorous, and assertive; the perfect balance to any upbringing, and the kind of raising that insures lifelong relationships with many of their residents. I sincerely enjoyed working with both the staff and residents during my time with them all!

Student Placement .....

Mullins House is an organization where learning takes place everyday. The staff team are supportive of each other when working together. They were supportive of me by helping me develop more in my observation skills but there is still room for improvement. They were great at offering feedback when needed. Lastly, the staff showed their commitment in many ways towards the organization. An example would be how they made sure to supervise me when interacting with the youth. It is an experience that I appreciate and would like to come back because there is still more to learn from the Staff and youth at Mullins House.
